Tree Dahlia: Blythe Spirit

The only red tree dahlia in the southern hemisphere. A very rare collectors item with plenty of beauty and pollen for bees and butterflies in the cooler months.

A more bushy shrub in form than a tree with sultry red single flowers on fast growing slim branches. Bred by Dr K Hammett in Massey, Auckland, New Zealand. Thrives in full sun but prefers partial afternoon shade and some wind protection. Ideal in a mixed cottage garden planting as an intermediate height floriferous bush. Flowers March to May and again September to November.
