Refund policy
Dahlias:
All dahlias are grown by us here in Waitakere, NZ and have been subject to years of evaluation for hardiness and vigor. They are not direct new to NZ imports. Our dahlias have been trialed for many years under harsh conditions.
We take great care packaging dahlias for shipment and only use trusted shipping companies. If dahlias arrive damaged due to shipping accidents or negligence contact us immediately. We will replace them or offer a full refund.
Your dahlia tubers should produce a minimum of one shoot within the first 30 days of being correctly potted up according to the Apollo Farm Dahlia Growing Guide. If however the tubers fail to produce shoots, contact us within 30 days for a refund or replacement. Please return the dahlias to us for inspection. If we concur that the dahlia tubers are damaged or fail to produce shoots we will refund the shipping cost and product cost to your account which you paid from.
Please inspect your dahlias when they arrive. Refer to the Apollo Farm Youtube channel for dahlia anatomy and correct identification of eyes, crown tissue and healthy shoots.
Plants
Shipping plants can be tricky but we work with the most reliable shipping provider in NZ, New Zealand Post Couriers.
Your plant has most likely been cut down for economical and practical shipping. The important part of the plant is the root system. Don't worry about the odd broken stem, you are paying for a developed root system grown in tough conditions.
We understand there can be delays or accidents with shipping. If you are not satisfied with the condition of your plants when they arrive, photograph them, email us immediately and we will replace or refund your plants.
Bulbs, Corms & Rhizomes
Bulbs, Corms & Rhizomes are tough but they can rot under sustained wet conditions. It is very unlikely that your Bulbs, Corms or Rhizome order arrives rotted or damaged. However if this is the case, you need to contact us within 30 days for a refund or replacement.
Note: PS: Dahlias are not bulbs. They are tubers. Refer to the aforementioned conditions for dahlias.
Workshops / Masterclasses (Online and onsite at Apollo Farm)
Online and in person workshop and masterclass tickets cannot be returned or refunded. However they can be transferred to another person if they agree to the terms and conditions of the specific workshop/masterclass product.
It takes a lot of time and resources to hold a workshop. We consider our workshops to be world class. We have been doing workshops for four years in New Zealand and developed substantial curriculum, materials, digital and on site infrastructure. Our curriculum and pedagogy has been quality controlled throughout by Dr Keith Hammett QSM, President of the Royal NZ Institute of Horticulture.
Clearance Items
Clearance Items cannot be returned or refunded. This is usually end of line products or plants that urgently need to go into soil as soon as possible. Sometimes we'll grow a bunch of plants and they don't sell as quickly as forecast. There are time and seasonal planting windows for each plant and species. In this case we may discount the product so that it finds a good home in a garden. We may make zero margin or a lose money in such a case; hence the policy of no refund and no returns.
