Salvia Amistad

An eye catching salvia with masses of purple calyces  Flowers from October to April in Auckland. Tough, reliable fast growing plant with aromatic leaves. Reliable easy to grow cultivar.

Defend against slugs and snails in the first few months of growth. Once established, the only maintenance required is regular deadheading and gentle trimming for your desired bush shape. Drastic cutting back will shock the plant so best to take it in stages. Grows 1.2m high and 1m wide. 

Cut back old wood in late autumn. This will stimulate fresh grow in spring. Frost tender. Best  divided every three years to maintain vigor and remove old wood from the center..
