Salvia Maraschino Cherry

Flowering from late spring until late autumn with rich cherry flowers atop a fine compact bush of petite lime leaves. Strong Black stems contrast with cherry flowers on the flowers. Fine foliage bush with airy habit 60cm wide x 60cm tall after 24 months.

Prefers good drainage and fine friable soil but is hardy and tolerant of many soil types once established.  Grows happily in a 5-10L pot.

Beautiful cottage garden bee food for the the front of the border. Can get lanky if left to it's own devices. Trim often and shape the plant as it grows to form balanced round bush with many flowers.

Evergreen in most NZ climate zones. Best cut to the ground in cold, snowy areas in South Island NZ. More info in our Salvia Growing Guide.
