Salvia Involucrata Hildago - Roseleaf Sage

Growing 2m tall and 1.2m wide with long stems finishing with unusual flowers that resemble a fresh magnolia flower before opening to deep magenta pollen source. Flowers from November to April here in Auckland. Loved by bees and butterflies the tubular flowers are fuzzy and last well in bouquets and dried flower arrangements.

Fast grower in Spring and summer. Cut down to one node above ground once frosts have passed.

Tender when young but once established is reliable, tough and drought tolerant. Will send out stolons and form a large clump that can be divided after 3 years.

Tall plant perfect for middle to back of the border in mixed plantings. 

1.5L pot with established root system.
