Extremely popular with bees, this tough blue flowered salvia peaks mid summer to late autumn. Tough, crinkled leaves. Loves heat, medium to low fertility soil and the dry.
Reliable, pest and disease free plant that is easy to grow. This salvia has a compact bush habit. Will grow 100cm wide and 40-50cm tall after two years. Very floriferous with hundreds of flowers mid summer.
Thrives in full sun, very well drained low fertility soil. Loves heat and good ventilation, drought tolerant. Avoid heavy clay soil, shade and nutrient rich soil.
1.5L pot with established root system.
Like many salvias best planted in autumn in North Island NZ to establish root systems for summer growth.
