A super reliable classic that will feed bees and butterflies from November to May and bring wonderful scents to your garden. 

Salvia elegans in flower is nature's signal that summer is truly here. As a former wine critic I love aromatics of pineapple sage in the garden. Waitakere friends also use the leaves in organic soaps and shampoos. 

This is the most forgiving and hardy salvia I have encountered. I have planted Salvia elegans as a wind tolerant pollinator hedge. She gets weedwacked, not trimmed. Great value tough plant prefect for beginner gardeners or as a filler in a cottage garden.
