A South African beauty from the world famous Kistenbosch gardens. Rich bronze beak like flowers occur as clusters on sort stems. Slow growing compact bush habit growing to 1m wide and 1m tall after three years.
Does not require cutting back each season like other salvias. Evergreen dense crenate lime colored leaves with a leather like texture generally impervious to pests.
Thrives in full sun, very well drained low fertility soil. Loves heat and good ventilation, drought tolerant. Avoid heavy clay, shade and nutrient rich soil.
