Penstemon Barbatus Twizzle Scarlet

A very rare low growing penstemon for NZ that loves dry sandy areas and rocky hillside. Stunning slender stems with graceful fine tubular rich scarlet blooms.

for striking colour, plant habit, and all round flowering performance. Full sun, slow growing, delicate but so beautiful. 

Thrives in neglect and poor soils. Lancelote leaves turn from emerald to bronze in NZ winters. Best cut to the ground for stimulating fresh vegetative growth in spring. Prefers free draining soil in a dry flower meadow or rockery.
