The Apollo Farm Kinzo Shovel is made of welded ergonomic tubular steel, has firm trea, and rigid steel pipe shaft. You can rely on this strong lightweight spade not to flex or break under heavy use.

The single edge curved blade can be sharpened with a diamond file. This is high carbon dense steel. 

Expect some scratching on the shiny steel with use and maintenance. Very normal. This will not reduce the durability or longevity of the steel. Always wash and dry your tools at the end of each work day. Apply camellia or linseed oil after drying.

Regular application of oil will help soil slide of the blade as your work, reducing time spent scrapping soil off your spade, making the job easier.
