Back of the border perfect for informal cottage garden with salvias and grasses. Should be planted in groups with each plant 30cm apart. Will send out underground stems and multiply quickly. Ideal for mass plantings.
Related to sunflower, this is a hardy deciduous drought tolerant perennial growing 2.5m meters tall each season. Spectacular when in bloom. Fast grower that will form a perennial clump. Perfect for bees, butterflies or back of the border drama. Tougher and longer lived than a trendy annual sunflower. Dies down in winter then comes back in Spring. Cut stems to the ground in late autumn after foliage dies back.
Flowering mid to late summer. Loves sun as per the name.
Sent as bare rooted clumps to save on shipping. Each are equivalent to a 1.3L pot with established root system. They are dormant now but some are already showing fresh shoots. Plant now so they have water in the soil and they will take off in spring. Super easy to grow.
