Helenium Summer Solstice (syn. H. July Sun)

High summer to late autumn golden yellow Helenium rich with pollen for bees and butterflies. Very floriferous with an abundance of erect blooms on long green leafy stems.

Over winter this plant forms slow spreading clump with short lime lanceolate leaves. Mid summer strong stems will appear utilizing the stored energy of the root system.

Full sun, good drainage and moderate to low fertility soil preferred.

Sulphate of potash and seaweed fertilizer applied late spring to mid summer will increase growth, stem strength and flower production. 

1.5L pot. Plant October to December in NZ. Hardy, long lived and reliable helenium.
