Garden Sickle Chuko-gama - Weed cutter

Cut through weeds, flax, kikuyu, arum lily, long grasses and green perennials like butter. Ideal for weeding around new plantings and revegetation projects in paddocks and wetlands. The red painted handle makes it super easy to find in a field or garden. 

Extremely sharp double edged blade made from three layers of laminated high carbon steel. Can be used by both left and right handed as it's a double edged blade. Excellent quality construction, heavy duty tool.

Keep out of reach of children. Sharp as a samurai sword. Sharpen with our medium & fine double sided Japanese diamond file.

Apply linseed or camelia oil to the handle and blade before using for the first time. Give the blade a tickle ie. light sharpen with a diamond file before use. When it cuts paper, it's sharp enough!

These are the last tools in NZ. The Japanese manufacturer no longer makes them.  Probably because the tools last a lifetime and the handle is painted red so you shouldn't lose it!
