Dahlia: Penhill Watermelon

Penhill Watermelon is a spectacular informal decorative with wavy recurve pink tips, pink veins and a vibrant peach center. Very popular at our PYO flower events and an excellent flower for large wedding bouquets; this cultivar has long tick stems and a long vase life. Reliable plant growing 1.6m high plus blooms with tubers 25cm long. Gross feeder mid summer to early autumn. (Maritz, South Africa, 2000)
