Dahlia: Moor Place

Pure pompon with impressive petal concentration. Deep maroon to purple, highly saturated dense colour.  A formal pom form for winning trophies. Put three stems the same size in a vase. Exhibition grade.

Small spherical tubers occur as clusters. Benefits from good drainage but also enjoys local organic matter and nutrient inputs. Plant grows 80cm to 1m high for us in Auckland. (Newham, UK, 1957)
