Dahlia: Fire Mountain

A dahlia distinctive with it's black foliage, working as both a prime flower and a statement plant. High contrast, looks great in tropical gardens. Dr Keith Hammett bred this small decorative years ago as a contrarian statement to the show bench (exhibition world). A cultivar that has flown under the radar for years but is actually very good for floristry and it's long vase life of seven days. (Dr. K Hammett, NZ, 1998)
