Dahlia: Amy's Star

Involute white cream and hot pink "star" dahlia with painted pastel yellow center with a rich circle of full forward pollen filaments. An ideal target for bees and butterflies to fight over.

Classified as an orchid under NZ and UK classification and often relegated to the "Other" No.99 or 109 category in exhibition. Shame, since it's such a trooper. Long stems, flowers have short vase life but amazing bee food and such a statement in the garden. (Risetto, USA, 1998)
