Dr Keith Hammett Clivia from his 45 year breeding program.
C. gardenii X C. miniata hybrid. Flowers mid winter June-August
Flowers are pendulous with a campulate (church bell shaped) emerald green flare with anthers protruding slightly. Very striking.
This is a pre-order. Mature plants will be dug from the field in July and sent bare rooted. These are durable and tough plants.
Ideal for semi and full shade areas under trees with filtered light. Dappled shade is the most suitable location for growing clivia outdoors. Clivia also tolerate poor, dry soils. Clivia can be planted 50cm apart and look their best in mass plantings. Clivia can also be grown in 10L pots as a house plant.
