Clivia - Semper Augustus

Named after the most expensive tulip ever sold in history. Why such a name? Well this is a superlative clivia. Semper Augustus translates from Latin as Forever Majestic. 

Dr Hammett writes, "My Semper Augustus Clivia is a type one yellow green throat. The expression of the green throat varies from season to season.  Until the Hirao type two yellow green throats became available it was the most distinct green throat yellow."
